olympic games 2028...

...here we come!

no but really, Abigail did amazing at her first gymnastics class tonight, and LOVED every second.
Parker is going to be doing it with her and he had (almost) as much fun as she did.
{as evidenced by the pic of him doing a cartwheel...don't miss is below!! ha. sorry love. :) }

We left there both just amazed at how much Abigail acted as though she was just totally in her element. I know that most preschoolers love to do gymnastics...but it was like we saw a fire in her eyes like we haven't ever seen before.
It was so, so fun to see!!

seriously, she is SO strong!
Her stalky, powerful little body might just be perfect for gymnastics!
We will obviously support whatever our baby decide to do in her life...
but it's exciting to be starting these new adventures with her!!

Abigail's phone call

We took dinner to Daddy's office one night and Abigail wanted to call her Memaw and Hop and tell them she was gonna go to the zoo tomorrow...and it is by far one of our favorite videos of her ever!! her little language and words crack me up. :)

A little pre-translation of this phone call for you:
(some of the things you might hear)

Wanna come see ME?
I go to animals tonight.
(then mama corrected her)
I go to zoo tomorrow.
I see giraffe and a effant and a heeppo.
(how she says hippo cracks us up for some reason)

Daddy's office looks really...really NICE.
(so random...I don't think she meant to say that but she just went with it, hand motions and all)

hokey pokey pokey!
(when my parent's dog rolls around she says she's doing the hokey pokey)

and then the awesome look at the phone saying,
"Wanna See?"

and seriously, those eyes.

enjoy. at least the grandparents will get a kick out of this. :)

Y'all have a good rest of the weekend!

euphoria

"the state of being elated, full of joy, overly happy":
Euphoria.

null

such a weird word, I know...
but in the middle of a late night feeding last night,
its the word that came to my mind as
I tried to process how I was feeling in that moment.

null

I am so in love.
I wrote before about how I was afraid I'd have trouble loving two.
But God has once again stretched my heart.

null

There's something in me that can put aside the exhaustion,
the sore nipples, the postpartum body pains,
the fear of not doing things "right"...
because I have this love in my heart,
overtaking anything else.

null

I feel honored that I get to meet the basic need of LOVE
for this brand new little life.

null

And I am honored that my Heavenly Father feels the same way.
{and I need so badly to remember this}
He feels the same "Euphoria" about me
as I do about her.
He is elated, full of joy and overly happy
to love ME.
