15 months

I just cannot even believe you are 15 months old.
I feel like you were just born, just a teeny tiny little thing in my arms,
meeting us, meeting your sister for the first time.
Like we were just starting to fall in love with you.

But we fall more each day, sweet Bethany.
You light up ALL of our lives.
Not only are you my dainty petite lady...
You are a funny little thing.
Your personality is so magical and just draws people in.
You are walking everywhere now,
and finally got your two front teeth in
just this week. And they are oh so cute. :)
You love to lean in for kisses and still lean your head on my shoulder
when you are sleepy.
And while you are still somewhat cuddly,
you are very independent.

You love to do everything your big sister does, which is amazing for us to watch.
And speaking of Abigail...she adores you.
She may have some slight sharing issues during this time in her life,
but she loves you, her sweet sissy.
She calls you "Baby" or "my baby" most of the time.
She is very protective of you and watches out for you.
Y'all are already BFF's.

You love to dance and move to music, which makes this mama heart so full.
When we have worship music on, you immediately put your hand up in the air,
like you have just always been a little worshipper.
You adore your Daddy and saying his name is your favorite word.
And he is melted by you.

You have the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair
and porcelain skin.
You have the best smile and giggle.
You are adored by your teachers and do so well at MDO,
which is no surprise.

We are so thankful for your little life.
You are FULL of life,
and you make ours so full!!

Happy 15 months, baby girl.

September 4th

the 4th slipped past me so quickly, without acknowledging that a certain little flower turned

8 months old.

Still super snuggly, which your mama loves.

Totally entertained by your big sissy.

Smushed by your big sissy a lot. But it's all in love. :)

Enjoying your yogurt melts.

A pretty picky eater though, just like your mama.

Starting to make sounds like "babababa" and "dadadada".

Army-crawling/scooting all over the place.

Adjusting so well to MDO. I am so so proud of you.

Really great at eye contact.

Loving your bath time still...it's your favorite time of day I think.

Doing great taking a bottle, which is a blessing considering Abigail never would!

Still loving nursing from mama. I love our close time together.

So happy when I bring you in bed at 6:00 AM just to cuddle with us.

Adjusted so well to sharing a room with Abigail.

Loving to "scream" at the same time as mama, and we giggle together.

So giggly when I tickle you.

You are loved, my little Goose.

Happy 4th!...and some "Did You Know's?"

So thankful for that flag that flies, representing the freedom we are blessed with here.Happy 4th of July folks...can't wait to hear what everyone is doing to celebrate!(and ALSO..Happy 6 months to my sweet B!!)

did you know?I love watching the Tour De France bike race. It gives me chills to watch.(I'm watching it as I write)I secretly dream of being an amazing biker.I actually AM naturally blonde. :) but hey, a little extra highlighting never hurt, right?I will celebrate 9 years of marriage next month. yes, 9 years!I used to be majorly addicted to Coca-Cola.I went to Baylor University (for my first two years before I got married then finished at UTD)I have never been to Europe but would LOVE to someday.
did you know?I am a terribly light sleeper.I grew up in Dallas, TX but moved to Oklahoma a year ago for hubb's job.Breastfeeding is one of my favorite parts of being a new mommy.Neither one of our babies were "planned".I do not, and wil not, eat any kind of fish or seafood. blech.I had a miscarriage in between our two girls.I was the Captain of my high school drill team.I don't like coffee. I know, I know.
did you know?I have seen every single season of the Bachelor. yep.I learned about the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit when I was in high school, and have not been the same since.I am a trained Post-Partum Doula.I hate having my nails painted. (I love mani's, but hate the fact it never stays on)I have to trust Him every day with fear that I will lose my girls.I cannot imagine doing anything else than being a Mommy.I love to blog. oh wait, you prob figured that out. :)

5 months

Sweet B...

I cannot believe I met you 5 months ago today.

time. has. flown.

You are such a gorgeous little baby, inside and out.

You make my heart melt all the time.

Your favorite form of entertainment is your big sister.

When she is around you, nothing else matters in the world.

She loves you just as much as you love her.

Seeing you two interact already is so incredible.

Nothing makes you laugh and smile quite like Abigail!

You continue to be my snuggle bug, and I cherish that so much.

I love that you nuzzle into me when I am holding you.

You hug my chest when you are ready to nurse, and that makes me smile, it is so sweet.

You love to be rocked and expect it now at night night time.

I love how your tiny tongue quivers behind your paci whenever you are happy,

and it quivers as I rock you until you go to sleep.

We are still working on this sleep thing.

This past week we started some "sleep training", and you are doing so good...

Im so proud of you baby girl.

But I have to admit...even though I know it's best for us right now,

I completely miss sleeping next to you at night, with you cuddled right up next to me all night long.

But I am still getting some sleepy snuggles at nap time whenever I can.

You love your daddy, and light up when he is around.

He adores you too, his little beauty.

Your hair gets more auburn every day, which is such a beautiful surprise.

You love to roll over, sit in your Bumbo, and chew on your feet.

You are basically a happy little camper (unless you get over tired).

You have already survived your first virus and it was terrible...but you made it through.

At your last appointment, you weighed a little over 13 pounds,

and your height, weight, and head were all in about the 15th percentile.

You are just my dainty little lady!

Your personality requires a little more reassurance than your big sister did,

but I am sure that as you grow and learn what a precious child of God you are,

your confidence will grow.

I pray daily for Him to show me how to lead you in that.

I am amazed by you, little one.
