Wayfair love.

ok, it's not just because of Joanna Gaines. (if you are a Fixer Upper addict like me then you know shes always on the Wayfair commercials, and uses their stuff a lot!)

Though, let's be honest she definitely adds some love to this. :)

But, we have recently bought a few things at Wayfair and have had a great experience! Great prices, free shipping on big stuff (we got these to add some hanging space in our attic for seasonal clothing), and they were here like 2 days after we ordered, which was a nice surprise!

They are having a great sale right now for Valentine's Day, and so I thought I'd spread a little Wayfair love. There are some CAUUUTE Valentine's things!!!

Seriously though, don't these things make you want to just paint your house red and pink with hearts all over? swoon.

a good reminder, in a few short words.

don't miss the process

I can't really put my finger on it, but something is changing. Like, do you ever get that feeling God is up to something but you don't quite know what it is just yet? It is that expectant hope and peace that just fills you, even while you don't have the vocabulary to explain yet just what it is that He is doing or speaking.

That is happening to me right now. I know when the Holy Spirit is moving because I always feel very emotional for some reason. Like tears are on the verge of coming out at any given moment, but I am not sad. I know it is the Holy Spirit, because my history with Him shows me that. But I also know that He loves to meet me where I feel raw...where I am open and vulnerable.

It is in those places where He loves to press in and stir things up. I actually love it.  And even though I'll admit..I wish I knew more of a plan sometimes...I'll take the Spirit-filling-emotional moments too.

It makes me wonder though...how often do we recognize (in your own way, maybe it is emotions like me, or maybe its a still soft voice, or even a word from someone else)...that He IS on the move in our lives through the "quieter ways" that are harder to stop and realize?

I wonder if too often we look for tangible, expected proof of God moving. I wonder if our ability to trust and walk in faith is too often swayed by what we can see and touch and find evidence of. Basically, the exact opposite of faith. Does this make sense?

I just think it is something good to ponder, to ask of ourselves. I have been encouraging a friend with this counsel, as well as reminding myself: if you feel that the Spirit is moving in you, pause. Just stop and let Him do it. Relinquish the need to have it all literally spread out in front of you, and remember that sometimes God works in process versus immediate. But I have found that the kindness of His nature oftentimes gives us clues and loves on us during the "preparation phase" of whatever new is coming.

And it really is so sweet, y'all. To be on the verge of tears, yet super peaceful and joyful is an incredible feeling, one that I know can only come from the Holy Spirit touching me where He knows I am touched most deeply (my emotions). 

So all that to say...don't put aside that small prompting, voice, or feeling while God is working in you. Don't just wait to experience Him until that new thing actually comes. I believe the WHOLE process is part of the plan. 

Be expectant of the new things. But also be expectant of Him loving on you AS they come.

my favorite planner!

Having a planner has been life-changing for me. I got my first "big girl" planner last year and while I wasn't completely consistent about it, it was still super helpful. It is something I honestly feel like God has challenged me on, to pursue better in my life...scheduling and planning...with loads of GRACE.

So it was a priority for me to be looking for my next planner for 2016, and when I found this one, I knew it was the best for me. I even had an awesome planner last year, but this one was just calling my name.

So, I wanted to share it with you, in case you are thinking about getting, or looking for a new planner for this new year.

The only thing I really asked for for Christmas (aka, sending my husband the direct link to buy it...anyone else do that? lol) was THIS planner. I somehow, not even sure how, came across it months ago on Instagram, and just knew it was the right planner for me, after looking at many other amazing ones. So, I sent the hint to him long before Christmas but got no response so figured he'd forgotten...so when I opened it up Christmas morning, I was so happy I cried.

It is seriously a BEAUTIFUL planner, inside and out.

I love all the detailed prompts inside, to help guide planning, scheduling, goal-setting, as well as dreaming.

Each day has time slots for the entire day, which I absolutely love as I am learning to plan my time more wisely. There is even a section to prioritize daily goals as well as write in what's for dinner...a huge help!

Each day page also has a short but powerful scripture and devotional prompt. Each Wednesday, there is a specific prayer prompt to pray over your children (amazing!), and at the end of the week, there is a place to reflect on the blessings we saw that week. I personally think that is a wonderful thing to do and look back on as the year goes by...literally being reminded of his faithfulness through our day-to-day!

Each month is covered with an inspirational quote page, to remind ourselves and motivate us towards why it is we do all that God has put in front of us to do. Just beautiful.
