Anyone else needing a reset for their health? Weight, energy, sleep, or just feeling better overall? ME!!!

I am about to join some amazing women to do Whole 30 again. I'd love for you to join me.
We have a group going on facebook that will be a huge resource of recipes, tips, advice, acountability, etc...we even have an actual Whole 30 expert (she contributes to the official Whole 30 social media) on our team who will be helping lead us through this!

Here is a little description of WHY we are doing this:

Certain food groups (ie sugar, grains, dairy and legumes) often have negative impact on your health and fitness without you even realizing it. Low energy, unexplained aches and pain, digestive issues, skin issues, even seasonal allergies can often be directly related to the food we eat - even foods that are considered 'healthy'.

We already know that what we put in and on our body is super important to our health, so for the Whole 30 we are going to completely eliminate the most common craving-inducing, blood sugar disrupting, gut-damaging, inflammatory food groups for a full 30 days. It is like a reset button for your body because it allows the body to detox, recover and heal from any of those things (and more!) we mentioned above."

Cheese Krispies

We were only allowed to make these special treats at Christmastime each year...and it was part of the season i looked SO forward to!! I am so excited that I have gotten to pass this tradition on to my own kids!!

They are so so good, y'all. And totally fat free. JAYKAY.

Imagine buttery cheesy crispy goodness with a little kick...all in one bite.
Recipe is below!!

Cheese Krispies
1 cup butter
2 lb sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups flour
2 cups Rice Krispies
a few dashes of red pepper (if desired - but I vote yes!)

Mix softened butter and cheese together with hands.
Add the flour and continue to toss and mix with hands - this takes a little work!
Add some red pepper if you want - I love to add just a bit for a little kick.
Lastly, add the rice krispies. Keep churning with your hands until it is all mixed up.

Roll into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet.
Bake at 350 for around 15-20 minutes or until a little golden.

Cotton Fields and God's Faithfulness

We came across some cotton fields just a few miles from our house...and could not resist taking some pictures!

I shared this a few weeks ago on social media, about why finding these cotton fields was so special to me.

"Parker and I own a small piece of a cotton farm in West Texas, a little inheritance from when his dad passed away a few years ago. I’ve never seen it, but often wondered what it looks like.

Not too long ago I happened to be driving and came upon this cotton field, literally just a few miles from our house.

May sound funny, but it was a striking moment in my heart, where I felt the Lord giving me a sweet little gift...a reminder that when our hearts miss people we’ve lost even more during this holiday season...He is with us. And those loved ones are with us in spirit too.

I can’t describe it like I want to, but I just know it was a sweet gift for my heart.

If you are in the middle of missing someone or grieving during this Christmas time...don’t forget to ask God for little signs that you are not alone and that He loves you. He will show you, I promise."
