prayers and potties

Potties and Prayers.
That's what I am committing my next three days to,
with an all-out focus
that I know the Lord will give me,
because He's asked it of me.

Yes, even about the potty part...
I am embarking this weekend on some
hard-core potty training
for my sweet little girl...
Ill share more about the method we're using in a different post.
(when did she get this big?!)
She's so ready. And so am I.
I'm proud of her already, I know she will do great.
I have prayed for the Lord to show me when the perfect time is to do this,
and I feel like He said now.

null

And I also feel like He has asked me to have
a renewed focus on prayer.
There's lots in my life that needs commitment to praying about,
that I have just gotten by with, crying out to Him in crisis,
rather than "being" with Him throughout every moment.
To be in His Presence, that's what I need.

null

So I will miss my blogging for a few days,
but will pick back up next week.
I look forward to reporting to you
about how things are going,
with the potty training, as well as with the time spent with the Lord.
I'm hopeful it will all be good.

I'm praying that this weekend of committing to the potty and to prayer,
will be a life-changing weekend for both of us. :)

One in the Boba, and one in the stroller!)

It's gonna be a good month.
Happy February!

PS i love writing out February,
because of that silly "r" .
I say it out loud whenever I write it.
I know you do too.
hehe. :)

Post-it Note Frames

need something cute, cheap, and easy to make
for a gift?
I especially think these are great little teacher gifts!:)
or even just a cute way to keep your post-its at home!!

Post-it Note Frames!

null

I found this idea on Pinterest (where else?!)
but my blogger wont let me embed the orginial image
(you can find it on my Pinterest Boards if you want)

I made them for Abigail's Mother's Day Out teachers,
for Christmas gifts, (just getting around to posting this!)
but I think they'd be fun anytime gifts!! :)

here's what you need:
acrylic frames (5x7 works great)
single stack of post-its
double sided sticky strips (or just hot glue)
scrapbook paper
some cute ribbon

null

First I took the piece of paper that came inside the frame,
and traced around it on the scrapbook paper.

null

then put your cute paper in the frame...

null

Then you tie your ribbon around the top of the frame.

null

Add the "sticky strips" or glue to the back of the post-its,
and secure it onto the frame.
(I used these Scotch sticky strip things -
sorry not sure what they are actually called! -
because when this stack of post-its runs out,
it could be taken off and changed easily!)

null

and....
That's it!!
Super cute and easy right?!

Yall have a blessed Monday!!

find some more lovely over here:

lately . . .

i have no idea what to write about
at this moment, but i feel like blogging regardless.
(ever have one of those days?)

so i thought id just share some random
things and thoughts
going on lately . . .

I fall more in love with my new little princess
every day. God has shown me how I really can love two.
(i shared before I had her about my anxiety in loving two littles)

null

I've been sick this week,
like fever, chills, headaches, the whole nine.
oh, and i have terrible tooth pain and now have to have a root canal.
all real fun when you have a toddler and a newborn.
(just needed to vent a little, mmk?)

I am blown away at the way Abigail has accepted her new little sister.
She has become quite the "mother"
to Bethany, and also to her dollies and toys.
SO so sweet to witness.

null

I've been having to surrender fear more than normal.
It seems now that I have two littles,
Satan is wanting me to deal with even more fear of losing them.
I hate fear, it is a spirit that tells me that my God is not good.
But I KNOW He is.

I became overwhelmed today at the amazing
blogging community I am blessed to be a part of.
Like seriously...girls I don't know in real life,
sending me congratulations cards in the mail, gifts for the new baby,
and emails telling me they have been praying for me?!?
That's amazing y'all.

I was bummed that Grey's and Private Practice
wasn't new this week. I so look forward to my shows. :)
But we discovered Shark Tank and have had fun watching that,
Mark Cuban is so entertaining to watch.
(oh, and speaking of him,
yay for the Mavs getting their Champ rings this week!)

hmm. what else?

I feel like walking around "mooing"...
Bethany likes to nurse ALL the time.
she's a little snacker just like Abigail was
(and I'm that way too!)
BUT I love it...
breastfeeding is one of my favorite things about being a new mama.

I've been needing to write out Bethany's birth story,
for myself, and also to share with you here.
I am so thankful she's here and healthy, and look forward to sharing it all!

null

I'm anxious to lose baby weight.
I know it will come off with time, and I'm not too worried about it,
but I just want to lose it faster than I did with Abigail.
So trying to eat healthier, and am looking forward
to working out when the dr. gives me the okay in a few weeks.

on that note,
I am trying to plan some races to do this spring and summer.
I did my first triathlon 3 years ago,
and had trained for another one last year, but then found out I was pregnant,
SO im excited to hopefully train for another one this year!
and possibly even a 1/2 marathon with the hubbs.
(we'll see though - i really don't care for just running) :(

I need more of His Presence lately.
To SOAK in it.
I find that I have been calling on the Lord,
asking for help, asking for grace a lot,
but I have not spent much time recently just "being" in His Presence.
I miss it. This needs to change immediately.
I know He misses it too.

null

oh, and I dyed my hair dark last week.
and I'm loving it!!
(you can kindof see it in the pic above)
I just needed a change,
plus it's gonna be near impossible to go get my hair done and roots maintained
with two little ones for a while!

OK.
well, thats all for now folks.
Just a few random thoughts from me. :)

Hope y'all have an awesome weekend!!
